Wesley UMC Resiliency Center

This video, produced by the West Ohio Conference as part of a broader documentary on climate change in the desert Southwest, highlights the compassionate and sustainable ministry of Wesley UMC in Phoenix, Arizona. It tells the story of how our church served as a vital cooling center during the summer’s extreme heat, offering refuge, care, and resilience to our community. The video also celebrates the broader mission of building local sustainability in the face of a changing climate.

Spectrum Medical Care

“On this #NationalFaithHIVAwarenessDay, we’re grateful for the support of Reverend Towanda Connelly in helping Spectrum Medical spread the message of hope and healing. We encourage all faith communities to take charge of their health by accessing free HIV/STI testing and resources at HIVAZ.org. Let’s come together in faith and action to build a healthier future.”

Kitchen Renovation Project

We’re thrilled to share the transformation of our church kitchen! This project marks a big step forward in creating a space that’s not only functional but also welcoming and modern for all who gather here.

A huge thanks to all the amazing volunteers who jumped in during the first phase.

The journey’s not over yet! We’re still gratefully accepting donations to help complete these long-overdue improvements to our church home. Every bit brings us closer to the finish line.

African American Christian Clergy Coalition

Natasha Adair, head coach of Sun Devil Women’s Basketball, is on a mission to revitalize her program through faith and community

Seeking guidance, support, and expanded community connections, Coach Adair gathered with African American clergy from across the Valley on April 25 to unite in prayer, service, and encouragement for the team and the community.

We’re excited that our Pastor, Reverend Towanda N.T. Connelly was a part of such a gathering. Here’s a clip!
